“Are you really foxes?” asked Acacia nervously. She had heard Cara say that foxes were dangerous to furry little animals like her.

“No, we are bats” said one mother bat. “Some people think we are like birds because we fly, but we are mammals - just like you. We don’t have a pouch so we carry our babies on our tummy when we fly so that they can drink milk”.

“That is very clever” exclaimed Acacia.
